When we operate heavily in our masculine energy, it is so common to be disconnected from our physical, emotional, and spiritual bodies. How many mornings have you woken up and felt stiff, rigid, and sore but didn’t stretch? Didn’t you spend time opening up, moving in a way that got the kinks out? Breathwork, who has time for that?

So many mornings, I woke up this way and did nothing to compensate for it and often just took another high-intensity-calorie burner to feel productive and strong. I would then rush to take a shower and jump right into work.

This disconnection leads to a lot of stagnation and unprocessed emotions. This disconnection also leads to a lack of self-trust and a poor relationship with oneself. No wonder I found myself moody or having low energy; I didn’t check in and give my body what it needed.

An ache or pain goes untreated, feelings of shame or regret often go unprocessed, and we lose opportunities to tap into our intuition and hear what our body needs. Sometimes our body craves a walk-in nature alone or with a friend. Sometimes it needs 15 minutes of foam rolling, and other times it is begging for us to rest, but will we know if we are not checking in and listening?

Instead, what if we started our day by checking in…I like to think of 3 things I am grateful for first thing in the morning; I love to do some gentle stretches and movements, even dance a little before entering a meditation. Then I see if my mind and body desire a high-powered workout or something lighter, and sometimes I rest.

This has allowed me to have more spaciousness in my body, and I am more tapped into my intuition, and a by-product is more self-love—the more clients who try this report having so much more satisfaction and fulfillment throughout the day.

I love to hear when clients make it their own and incorporate breathwork, tapping, tarot cards, and saging; there are so many loving options.

I invite you to spend a week really asking your body what it is craving physically and see what emerges. If you would like some support in this area or any other struggle or desire, I welcome you to book a connection call with me.

I hope you have an amazing weekend, everyone.
