The Power of a Juicy Goal

Blog post title: The Power of a Juicy Goal with Melanie sitting on a white couch with a neutral setting with a white outfit and her hand on her knee to her chin

One of my favorite parts of coaching isn't helping someone accomplish a goal.

It's helping them discover the right goal.

High achievers are experts at setting goals. Promotions. Revenue targets. Weight loss. Home renovations. Cross another item off the list. They know how to execute.

But somewhere along the way, many of us stop asking a much more important question:

What do I actually want?

Not what would impress someone else.

Not what social media celebrates.

Not what feels productive.

Not what you should want.

What would genuinely light you up?

I call these juicy goals.

A juicy goal has energy behind it. It's the kind of goal that makes you smile when you think about it. The kind that pulls you forward instead of requiring you to drag yourself toward it.

Sometimes it's writing the book you've quietly dreamed about for years.

Sometimes it's finally learning to play the violin.

Sometimes it's mastering your first pull-up.

Sometimes it's starting the business that's been living in your journal for a decade.

And sometimes the juicy goal isn't what you initially think it is.

One of my superpowers as a coach is helping people uncover that deeper desire.

Clients often come to me convinced they know what they want. But as we begin exploring, I'll ask one question that takes us beneath the surface. We move past the obvious answer, past the socially acceptable answer, and into something much more honest.

That's where the magic happens.

Because often the goal they thought they wanted isn't the one that will actually change their life.

The real goal has been quietly waiting underneath all along.

Once we've uncovered it, everything changes.

Creating the vision becomes easier.

Building the plan becomes clearer.

And when resistance inevitably shows up as it always does, you have something meaningful enough to keep returning to.

You stop relying on willpower.

You start being pulled by purpose.

If there's a small voice inside you that's been whispering about creating something this year, don't ignore it.

Maybe it's a creative project.

Maybe it's rebuilding your health.

Maybe it's learning a new skill.

Maybe it's becoming the kind of person who finally trusts themselves enough to begin.

That whisper matters.

And you don't have to figure it out alone.

Over the next three to six months, imagine what could happen if we partnered together. First, we'd discover whether this is truly the juicy goal your heart is asking for. Then we'd build a compelling vision, create a practical plan, and navigate every ounce of resistance that tries to convince you to quit.

The goal isn't simply to accomplish something.

The goal is to create a life that feels as exciting personally as it looks professionally.

Because success is wonderful.

But success paired with fulfillment?

That's where life gets really good.
